There will be no training on Easter Saturday.
We will train the following Saturday, the last one before the season starts.
Training will continue as usual on Thursday nights.

Come down to the club this Saturday March 17th at 10am to noon to meet the coaches, Daniel and Mark, try some throwing, hitting, catching and running and register as a player.
Training will be on Thursday nights from March 24th.

End of beer on tap

We plan to stop the use of barrel beer.
Although the basic cost of beer in barrels is less we make more money with stubbies when we consider the extra costs of barrels:
- Gas cylinder hire
- Cellamix gas refills and delivery
- Wastage because of unskilled operators or other causes
- Cleaning costs of the system
- Electricity costs of running the Temp Rite beer cooler and the glass washer (hot water).
- Maintenance of the system this can be expensive. The motor and pump on the Temp Rite are burnt out at the moment. The price of a replacement is $307.
We have run successfully without beer on tap for the whole of summer 2010/2011 and winter 2011 (except for one function in July after which the Temp Rite burnt out).
We plan to introduce this change in November to avoid the maintenance cost on the Temp Rite and to get the maximum refund on our cylinder rental.
